GamingMalta Joins Global Leaders to Discuss the Future of Esports Investment

Thank you to Sunset Sports Festival for hosting GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti last week at Zadar, Croatia, where we enjoyed a fruitful exchange about the future of iGaming together with other global industry leaders.

During the summit, Ivan was invited to speak at the ‘Follow the Money, Where Smart Capital is Going in Gaming 2026’ panel on the Esports Stage. He was joined by Tihana Sedlar Krauz from Hrvatski Telekom, Daniel S. from Kaufland Croatia, and Nikola Stolnik from Good Game Global.

The discussion delved into where capital is moving across gaming and esports and what makes investment truly strategic, while discussing how different ecosystems turn market momentum into long term value.

Ivan brought the strength of Malta’s perspective to the conversation as he focused on outlining how a small jurisdiction builds credibility and the role that regulation, talent, innovation, and international partnerships play in this journey.

Gaming remains one of the sectors where Malta continues to show relevance beyond its size. Malta’s participation in global conversations of this kind reflects the direction set out in MaltaVision 2050, which recognises iGaming in its broadest sense as part of the island’s long term path towards sustainable growth and a knowledge based economy.
