Malta’s Ambassador to Germany Visits the GamingMalta Booth at gamescom 2026

We were honoured to welcome Her Excellency Marlene Bonnici, Malta’s Ambassador to Germany, to the GamingMalta stand at gamescom 2026.

During her visit, Madame Ambassador met with Malta-based game studios, organisations and industry representatives taking part in this year’s event, hearing first-hand about their work, ambitions and international outlook.

GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti also shared an overview of Malta’s growing games ecosystem and GamingMalta’s role in supporting the studios within it, from creating international exposure and industry connections to supporting talent development and growth opportunities.

The discussion also touched on how this work contributes to the ambitions of Malta Vision 2050, which places the continued growth of game development, specialised talent and interactive entertainment within Malta’s long-term economic direction.

With gamescom bringing the global games industry together in Cologne, the visit was an opportunity to showcase not only what Malta’s studios are building today, but the work being done to support the sector’s continued growth.
