Shoutout to Hand Rock Studio, which joined the base_camp September 2025 at GamingMalta!
Malta-based video game studio which is the sister-company of OutOfTheBit Ltd and is already doing some great work, including Nanuka: Secret of the Shattering Moon, while continuing to build its presence within the local ecosystem.
The team’s talent extends beyond game development and is active across different parts of the industry, from engaging with students, to contributing to community initiatives such as the Malta Global Game Jam 2026.
It says a lot about the quality of talent Malta is attracting, as we’re seeing studios like Hand Rock Studio already combining development, knowledge-sharing, international collaboration, and job creation, with plans to grow the team further. It’s exactly the kind of activity that our base_camp incubator strives to support and encourage.
Well done to Hand Rock Studio for adding to the kind of momentum that’s at the heart of Malta Vision 2050: more knowledge-based industries, stronger links between education and industry, and more high-value creative and digital work being developed from Malta.
