Malta Students Recognised at Minecraft Education Challenge Awards Ceremony

On the 3rd of March, the Minecraft Education Challenge Malta competition came to an end with an award ceremony at the Malta Digital Innovation Authority, recognising three schools for their outstanding projects. The initiative, first launched during Playcon last year, has grown into a platform where students can experiment, build and problem-solve using game-based learning.
The programme brought together educators, industry leaders and technology experts to explore the educational benefits of Minecraft, with contributions from Microsoft Malta, MDIA and GamingMalta. Throughout the event, young participants were given access to the digital know-how, creativity and problem-solving skills they’ll actually need in the industries that are defining Malta’s next chapter.
As GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti noted during his closing remarks, we’re now seeing the goals underpinning Malta Vision 2050 coming to life with the new generation, with immersive technology and digital thinking starting to be embedded into everyday learning.
GamingMalta offers its congratulations to the winning schools and to every student who took part in the competition. And as we witness a strong, future-ready ecosystem starting to take shape, we look forward to many more such initiatives.
