Why are you based in Malta and since when have you been here?

Since 2006. Malta’s professional iGaming environment is rich in talent, competence and opportunity. All verticals along the iGaming value chain are based on the island, making it the ideal hub to launch new ventures.

What things are there about Malta that make you operate here?

Malta offers the highest concentration of iGaming expertise per square kilometre in the EU. Other elements are that the licensing model, the financial institutions and the Maltese legal framework offer stability, security and a thriving environment to build a successful venture.

Over the past 12 years, the island has managed to attract a vast pool of internet professionals from all over the world who offer a truly exceptional grasp of the gaming ecosystem – a perfect place to source the best talent.

Can you give us an example of where Malta’s i-gaming set-up has helped your business?

Malta is for me the “Silicon Valley of iGaming” - literally all relevant suppliers in the industry are based on the island. It is straightforward to initiate meetings and build value without having to leave the island. In terms of efficiency and effectiveness it is ideal for any entrepreneur in the iGaming industry.

What would you recommend to others about Malta?

Apart from the commercial benefits mentioned above, the island offers a vast opportunity for a great work-life balance such a favourable climate for outdoor activities all year around. Having attracted many expats from all around the world, the social life is great.

Any good things about Malta that you don’t think are often spoken of?

The cuisine is superb and it offers a vast choice international restaurants.

What is your best experience of Malta on a business level?

The launch of my business and employing a passionate team of inspiring professionals

And on a personal level?

Meeting my wife here!

Can you give me a snapshot of your working day?

I usually start my day early by walking my dog and then planning my day, doing some research and investing some time into personal development. Once I arrive at the office I dedicate the first half of the day to handling operational management and trying to get the “toughest work done”. In the afternoon, I dedicate time to responding to emails and admin related queries.

What’s your favourite part of Malta and why?

The sea – I enjoy boating with my family and friends. The island(s) offer a great variety of coast lines and beaches to anchor at.  Sicily is also very close.
