BLAST SLAM VIII Playoffs Live in Malta

BLAST SLAM VIII is now live in Malta!

The action has moved to BLAST Arena Studios in Ta’ Qali, where six of the world’s leading Dota 2 teams are competing in the BLAST SLAM VIII playoffs from 8 to 11 October.

Following an online stage that brought together 16 international teams, the competition now enters its final phase in front of a live studio audience. Four days of high-level esports action will culminate in Sunday’s best-of-five Grand Final, with a combined prize pool of $750,000 at stake across the tournament.

The event forms part of GamingMalta’s three-year partnership with BLAST, which is bringing nine major international esports tournaments to Malta, supported by a permanent broadcasting and production facility.

This continued investment reflects the priorities of Malta Vision 2050, which identifies esports, video game development and digital content creation as important areas for economic growth. The partnership also supports Malta’s ambitions to attract international investment, develop local talent and create new opportunities for players, content creators and esports professionals.

We look forward to an exciting weekend of competition as Malta welcomes another major international esports event!
