Gaming Industry Teams Invited to Take Part in Charity Water Polo Tournament

Malta’s thriving iGaming industry will soon swap keyboards for swim caps as teams from across the sector prepare to compete in the first Lottoland iGaming Water Polo Cup, a charity tournament celebrating sport, community, and environmental conservation.

The one-day tournament, scheduled to take place on Saturday 23rd May at the facilities of Neptunes WPSC, will bring together teams representing gaming operators, suppliers, and affiliates based in Malta.

The event will also mark the renewal of Lottoland’s support for Maltese water polo while highlighting the company’s continued collaboration with local charitable organisations including Wildlife Rescue Team Malta and Malta Community Chest Fund.

Ten teams from the gaming industry are expected to participate, each consisting of 12 players. Teams will compete in a friendly short-format tournament, culminating in a final match and awards ceremony.

The winning team will receive a €5,000 prize, while the event itself is designed primarily as a community initiative bringing together Malta’s gaming professionals in support of charitable causes.

The tournament will also serve as a fundraising effort for local sport. Each participating team will contribute a €600 entry fee, with Lottoland boosting the total amount tenfold to deliver a combined donation of €60,000 to Maltese water polo clubs on the day.

The event will also feature charity presentations and community engagement moments highlighting ongoing conservation work and social initiatives supported by Lottoland and its partners.

By combining Malta’s passion for water polo with the collaborative spirit of the gaming sector, the tournament aims to showcase how the industry can come together for sport, charity, and positive community impact.

Companies interested in participating in the tournament are encouraged to get in touch to learn more about team registration and event details. Interested teams can reach out directly via the Lottoland Malta Facebook page.
