SiGMA CENTRAL EUROPE 2025 wrapped up after a packed few days at the Fiera Roma, the first time the event was held in the Italian capital. For GamingMalta, it was another strong opportunity to showcase Malta’s role as a trusted and forward-looking hub for the global gaming industry.
Our stand welcomed visitors keen to learn more about Malta’s ecosystem and the support available for companies looking to Make it in Malta. Together with our partners from Identità, we helped guide participants through practical steps on relocation, setup, and operations, while answering questions about life and business on the island.
The Maltese Roulette VR Experience was a highlight on the stand, offering visitors an engaging way to experience how digital and virtual technologies are reshaping the gaming space.
GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti also joined the panel The Ultimate Tech Launchpad: Malta Regulation Approach & Startup Ecosystem, where he shared insights on how Malta’s regulatory and policy frameworks continue to drive growth, trust, and innovation within the sector.
“Our ecosystem thrives on collaboration and innovation,” Ivan said. “Gaming companies, from the newest startups to established brands, have been able to make it in Malta thanks to this supportive environment. Our island empowers talent, supports startups, and promotes gaming excellence.”
We were pleased to welcome Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, who toured the expo together with Ivan Filletti. Leader of the Opposition Alex Borg also visited the stand, engaging in constructive discussions on how Malta’s gaming industry can continue to grow through collaboration and dialogue.
SiGMA Europe 2025 brought together industry experts, policymakers, and business leaders from around the world to discuss emerging trends, explore new technologies, and strengthen partnerships.
For GamingMalta, it was a valuable opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and continue promoting Malta as a place where gaming, digital entertainment, and immersive technologies can thrive.
