SiGMA Euro-Med 2025

GamingMalta CEO Ivan Filletti has revealed more details about the forthcoming launch of the GamingMalta Manifesto, a landmark initiative designed to strengthen Malta’s position as the Home of Gaming Excellence. The announcement was made during SiGMA Euro-Med 2025, where Mr Filletti joined global industry leaders to discuss the future of gaming and innovation.

The conference opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, where Mr Filletti and SiGMA Group Founder Eman Pulis welcomed delegates to a packed conference floor, underlining GamingMalta’s central role in one of the industry’s most significant gatherings.

For the first time, GamingMalta hosted its own booth on the conference floor, attracting a continuous stream of industry players keen on learning how the Foundation can support their business journey in Malta.

Representatives from Identità Malta and Bank of Valletta were on hand to answer practical questions about setting up operations on the island. Delegates also had the chance to experience a lighter side of Maltese culture through GamingMalta’s Iconic Roulette VR Demo, which added to the booth’s appeal.

The list of distinguished visitors included Prime Minister Dr Robert Abela. He was joined in the tour by Mr Pulis, who presented Mr Filletti with SiGMA’s Vision 2030, delineating the strategy for the Group in the upcoming years.

Mr Filletti also exchanged thoughts about the sector – especially how the jurisdiction plans to evolve in line with Government’s Malta Vision 2050 – with Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, as well as other government stakeholders.

During the conference, Mr Filletti participated in two of the main panels on the SiGMA stage. Across both discussions, he referred to the upcoming launch of the GamingMalta Manifesto, which will outline a series of landmark pledges to the industry.

“These pledges include maintaining sustained political support, enhanced banking services, and commitments from industry stakeholders, offering a roadmap for the next chapter of Malta’s iGaming journey, while ensuring a resilient and responsible ecosystem in line with Malta Vision 2050,” Mr Filletti said.

“We’re not a centre, or a hub – we’re a home. This is what makes us different from other jurisdictions. Our approach to making a difference is relentless, and the Manifesto is the next step in ensuring we keep raising the bar,” he continued.

The CEO also spoke about GamingMalta’s priorities in terms of nurturing talent, supporting start-ups, promoting responsible gaming, and driving the convergence of iGaming with the wider interactive entertainment sector.

SiGMA Euro-Med 2025 was held at the Malta Maritime Hub earlier this week, bringing together global thought leaders, policymakers and entrepreneurs, with GamingMalta reinforcing its role as a catalyst for growth, talent, and innovation within the iGaming and broader interactive entertainment industries.
