It was a pleasure welcoming U.S. Embassy Malta Farkas to GamingMalta. The Ambassador had a productive visit, touring the base_camp incubator space and getting a firsthand look at Malta’s thriving gaming ecosystem, including the strong ties with the United States, courtesy of Chairman Alistair Dalli and CEO Ivan Filletti.
We’re excited about deepening U.S.–Malta cooperation in this fast-growing sector, from training programs for video game developers and U.S. investment in Maltese startups, to new frontiers in interactive entertainment.
On the Esports front, GamingMalta has already been making its mark stateside through BLAST events in the U.S. – and that momentum is only growing. Ambassador Farkas is now looking forward to experiencing it closer to home with a visit to the BLAST Esports arena near the Embassy in Ta’ Qali very soon.
