Student Placement Programme (SPP) – Employer Information

Why Should My Company Participate?

 

The Student Placement Programme offers employers the opportunity to benefit from a fresh influx of academic knowledge, creativity, and enthusiasm that students bring to their placements. By participating, companies can tap into a new generation of talent eager to contribute and grow within the gaming industry.

Which Students Are Eligible to Participate?

Eligible students for this programme must:

  • Be 16 years of age or older.

  • Be currently enrolled in a course related to the gaming industry.

  • Hold a qualification or be pursuing a course at MQF Level 4 or higher, relevant to the gaming industry, or a specialised gaming-related qualification.

Employer Process and Forms

 

1. Application: Submit your application form to participate, specifying the roles and the number of students required.

 

2. Verification: GamingMalta will review your submission and collaborate with you to ensure all requirements are met.

 

3. Letter of Intent (LOI): Once your application is complete, please submit the LOI. Kindly contact Ms. Corinne Cuschieri at corinne.cuschieri@gamingmalta.org for assistance with the LOI and guidance.

 

4. Matching Process: The SPP is now more flexible, allowing companies to select their own interns through their internal recruitment processes. Additionally, GamingMalta can assist you in connecting with students by coordinating with educational institutions such as MCAST and the University of Malta.

Guide to Claiming Your Reimbursement

To complete the SPP and claim your reimbursement, please submit the following documents:

1. SPP Claim for Reimbursement Form.

2. Copies of student payslips for the placement period (300hrs).

3. Performance Evaluation and Development Form for each student.

4. The completed Employer’s Exit Survey (Feedback Form).
